Police arson squad investigators were yesterday sifting through the result of a Mooroopna house fire _ the second suspicious blaze in the area in less than a month.
Country Fire Authority Region 22 duty officer Peter Brereton said a call was made at 3.40 am yesterday morning to report a fire at an unoccupied weatherboard house at 19 McKean St.
Mr Brereton said tankers from Shepparton and Mooroopna were dispatched and the house was well alight when they arrived.
After an initial inspection by CFA personnel, the fire was deemed suspicious and reported to police.
