SWANPOOL CINEMA

Screening at Swanpool Cinema this week on Friday and Saturday at 7.30 pm and Sunday at 5 pm is Wild Hogs (M), starring Tim Allen, John Travolta, Martin Lawrence and William H. Macey.
City Slickers meets Easy Rider as four suburban buddies on the wrong side of middle age hit the road on their Harleys, searching for freedom and adventure, only to collide head-on with reality. Good fun.
On the same program is Hollywoodland (MA), starring Ben Affleck, Adrian Brady, Diane Lane and Bob Hoskins, a film about the private life, career and final days of George Reeves, the actor who played the role of 1950s television's Superman.
He was found dead in his Hollywood home in 1959, shot in the head. But was it suicide, as originally claimed by the police, an accident resulting from a lovers' tiff, or a contract killing?
It doesn't really matter who was responsible - Hollywood was to blame.
